Planes estratégicos de energía de los gobiernos a nivel global: pasado, presente y futuro

Resumen

La adopción de estrategias energéticas a largo plazo es esencial para marcar el rumbo de las economías. En este sentido, varios estudios e informes se han centrado en temas como el uso de energías renovables, la eficiencia energética, la pobreza energética, la captura de carbono y la innovación. Sin embargo, es necesario trazar un mapa de la situación global de los planes estratégicos de energía adoptados por los países y centrarse en los que están en vigor. La metodología adoptada en este estudio es cuantitativa y parte de la recopilación de todos los planes estratégicos de energía disponibles en la base de datos de la Agencia Internacional de la Energía entre julio y octubre de 2023. Las principales conclusiones muestran que la eficiencia energética, las energías renovables, así como la investigación, el desarrollo y la innovación tecnológica son los temas dominantes en casi todos los continentes. A su vez, los países de Europa son los que más temas han incluido en sus planes estratégicos de energía, aquí destacan Austria, Dinamarca, Irlanda, España y el Reino Unido. No obstante, también sobresalen los Estados Unidos y Japón.
